Wimbledon 2018: Cilic out, Nadal and Djokovic advance

TENNIS- Croatian third seed Marin Cilic was ousted from Wimbledon on Thursday after losing 3-6, 1-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7/3), 7-5  to Argentina’s Guido Pella.

Fourth seed Alexander Zverev is also struggling against Taylor Fritz of the United States but their second round match had to be suspended for the night because of the rain.

Elsewhere, top seed Rafael Nadal and three time champion Novak Djokovia battled their way into the third round.

Nadal defeated Mikhail Kukushkin of Kazakhstan 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 and will next face Australian teenager Alex de Minaur.

Djokovic ousted Argentina’s Horacio Zeballos, winning 6-1, 6-2, 6-3. He will face Briton number one Kyle Edmund next.

Fifth-seeded Juan Martin del Potro, US ninth seed John Isner and Australian Nick Kyrgios all reached third round.
