FOOTBALL- Joachim Loew will keep on being Germany’s manager despite the team’s unceremonious ouster from the FIFA 2018 group stage.
German Football Association (DFB) informed about the decision on Tuesday saying Loew wanted to carry on and oversee the “reconstruction” of the team.
It was the first time in 80 years that Germany, World Cup winner in 2014 at Brazil, failed to make it to the knockout stage in 80 years.
Germany finished bottom of their group after defeats to Mexico and South Korea.
Just before the start of the World Cup, Loew had signed a contract extension until the 2022 World Cup.
