THAILAND- It has been eight days since Thai navy divers have been trying to save 12 missing boys and their soccer coach who are trapped in a cave in Thailand’s northern province of Chiang Rai.

All the missing boys are aged between 11 to 16 and their coach is 25 years old. The group had gone to explore the vast Tham Luang cave after their soccer practice. Little did they know that their way out would be blocked by flood waters from the heavy rains.

Rescuers hope that the group made it to a safe spot named “Pattaya Beach” after one of Thailand’s best known tourist destinations.

Divers still had three kilometer of area to navigate before reaching the boys. The group’s survival depend on whether they found fresh drinking water as surviving without food is possible.
