TV- Network ABC has revealed that they had asked Roseanne Barr to leave twitter before she posted her racist message that lead to her ouster from her own namesake show.
Roseanne shared: "They asked me to get off Twitter, because I'm always saying things."
Weeks before, Roseanne likened Valerie Jarrett, a Senior Advisor to former President Barack Obama, to an ape in a Tweet. She was fired from the show because of the tweet and the show was abruptly cancelled.
Speaking to Rabbi Shmuley Boteach's podcast, she explained: "I ask people if you look at my tweet don't defend me. I've done something egregious and I don't want to be defended. I don't want to get any more racism going from what I did, I don't want that. I don't want to be defended."
At the time of the incident, she had blamed her use of the prescription insomnia drug Ambien for the tweet.
