Vikas Barala, the prime accused in the much hyped stalking case of Varnika Kunda, daughter of an IAS officer, finally came home after being granted bail by the High Court Judge Justice Lisa Gill. The accused has been granted bail after being in custody since August 9, 2017. After the accused walked out of the Jail in Burail during the evening hours on January 13, he was seen carrying his books. He was bombarded with questions; however, he refused to say much and said that the matter is still pending in Court.

It was seen that Barala immediately after his release visited a temple that depicted his firm faith in God. He also asserted that when you know you are 100 percent innocent and have not done anything wrong, you don’t have to fear. He further said that his primary concern for now is to focus on his Law studies and to cover up the entire back log that got piled up while he was in Jail. He also said that though he got out of his mind during the initial phase, but he later on calmed himself and maintained a positive frame of mind.

It is notable to mention that Vikas Barala was booked along with his friend Ashish Kumar for stalking City based disc Jockey Varnika Kundu. Barala’s friend Ashish Kumar has not been given bail as of now. Though Ashish was arrested along with Barala and also applied for bail. Ashish’s bail plea will now be heard on January 15.
