China Open: Saina Nehwal struggles with poor form, ousted in first round

BADMINTON- Saina Nehwal’s struggle with her poor form continued at the China Open as she lost 10-21 17-21 to World No. 19 Busanan Ongbamrungphan in the first round on Wednesday.

The London Olympic bronze medallist lost the match in just 45 minutes. It was the former world number one’s second successive loss to the Thai player.

The duo of Pranaav Jerry Chopra and N. Sikki Reddy also lost to Germany’s Mark Lamsfuss and Isabel Herttrich 12-21 21-23.
