TENNIS- The India-New Zealand pair of Leander Paes and Marcus Daniell reached the semi-final of Hall of Fame Open on Saturday with a 6-4 5-7 14-12 win over Australian-Swede team of Matthew Ebden and Robert Lindstedt.

Paes, 46, also became the oldest ATP Tour semi-finalist since John McEnroe (47) at 2006 San Jose.

Next up for Paes and Daniell are Marcel Granollers and Sergiy Stakhovsky.

This is the fourth time in the current season that Paes has reached an ATP Tour semifinal. He reached the same stage at Lyon (May), Marrakech (April) and Montpellier (February) in the first half of the season.

Paes is an 18 time Grand Slam title winner and is sixth on the all-time doubles match winners’ list.
