CRICKET- India’s strength and conditioning Coach Shankar Basu is proud of making a fitness freak out of Mohammed Shami who was extremely prone to injuries.
Basu considers Shami in his current injury free avatar as his biggest achievement since he joined the team in 2015.
During an exclusive interview with PTI, Basu said, “I had told Shami that there is no point of training hard for 20 days. You have to train consistently. Now training is his lifestyle. Look at how his pace never drops even in the final test of a five-game series.”
Basu also praised Jasprit Bumrah for raising the bar to an altogether different level. The coach also talked about diet plans and training regimes of all players from Virat, Dhoni, Pandya, KL Rahul to Negi, Bhuvaneshwar and Vijay Shankar.
