Indian men’s archery team reaches final, Olympic quota already booked

ARCHERY- Indian men’s recurve team comprising Tarundeep Rai, Atanu Das and Pravin Jadhav which won a Tokyo Olympics quota after reaching the quarter final of the World Archery Championships on Wednesday have now reached the final of the event.

The trio defeated Netherlands in a shocking turn of events and entered the final for the first time since 2005. They will face China in the finals on Sunday.

China ousted top seed Korea 6-2 in the other semifinal Thursday.

India also remained in the medal contention in the women’s compound team event as it faces Turkey in the bronze medal playoff on Saturday.
