PUCA demands release of pending payment from the Centre & State Govt

Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) urged Punjab Government to complete the pending audit of Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) at the earliest and release the funds for those colleges whose audit have been cleared. Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, PUCA also demanded that 115 Crore released by the Centre Government out of 1200 Crore is a meagre amount. Hence the Centre Govt should add more amount to 115 Crore so that a good amount can be released to the Colleges facing financial crunch. Amit Sharma, Sr. Vice President, PUCA while speaking said that around 30 Crore of the year 2016-17 and around 60 Crore of the year 2017-18 committed State Liability amounting to a total of Rs 205 Crore is due towards the Government.
