British Quizzing Championship gets first Indian origin winner

Indian origin doctor, comedian, quizzer Paul Sinha has added another feather to his cap. He has become the first person of Indian origin to win the British Quiz Championship 2019.

Paul is a Bengali Muslim man who is openly gay. Add to it the fact that he is also a voice on TV and radio and had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

On his blog post titled “My Greatest Day” dated September 8, 2019, Paul recounts his journey and the many ups and downs he faced. He finished 2nd last year in the quiz championship and after winning this year, he wept for two whole hours.
