Original Pretty Woman ending was dark and hard hitting: Julia Roberts

HOLLYWOOD- Actress Julia Roberts has revealed that the original ending of her hit 1990 romantic film Pretty Woman was dark and hard hitting.

Roberts played prostitute Vivian Ward opposite Richard Gere's Edward Lewis in the film which went on to become a classic.

Julia, 51, recently appeared on Variety's Actor on Actor series alongside Patricia Arquette and revealed the original ending in which her character, Vivian Ward, is shoved out of a car and someone "threw the money on top of her, as memory serves, and just drove away, leaving her in some dirty alley."
