In the last phase of campaigning amid the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, battle at the crucial citadel of Bathinda has already heated up. While Punjab is going to witness elections on May 19, all eyes are on the crucial Bathinda and Ferozepur seats.

In the Akali fort of Bathinda from where sitting SAD-BJP MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal is contesting for the Lok Sabha seat, it can’t be denied that Congress candidate Amrinder Singh Raja Warring is leaving no stone unturned to win the Bathinda seat. Amrinder Singh Raja Warring who is a youth leader has been blatantly attacking SAD-BJP. In his support stands Priyanka Gandhi who has asked people to teach a lesson to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) for harassment meted out to them.

Priyanka Gandhi striking a chord attempted to establish a link with local voters by saying that she is the wife of a Punjabi and said that she felt at home in Punjab and among its people. She also hailed the valour of Punjabis and their ability to remain happy in all circumstances.

There is no doubt that Warring, getting an unstinted support from his wife Amrita Warring who has been seen campaigning aggressively, will get an upper hand with Priyanka Gandhi’s presence at Bathinda rally.
